Cabinet card copy of a portrait photograph of American mountain man Jim Bridger, c. 1860s. The original photo has been lost to time and it is unclear exactly what type of photo it was.

The tax stamp on this touched up CDV copy photo version of the photo makes me think it was originally taken during the 1860s.

The icy decorations along the border of the engraving include two scenes probably based on sketches from the 1853-1855 Second Grinnell Expedition.

Duncan was a British missionary who founded the Tsimshian communities of Metlakatla, British Columbia, and Metlakatla, Alaska. Taken by Sir Henry Solomon Wellcome, c. 1916-1917.
