Daguerreotype view of the St. Charles Hotel in New Orleans, Louisiana, 1847. Attributed to photographer Thomas Easterly. This is said to be one of the earliest surviving photos taken in New Orleans and the only photo of this iteration of the hotel before it was destroyed by a fire on January 18, 1851.
