    My guess is these are NOT Union Zouaves but a group of French Chasseurs with Zouaves in the background.

    Thanks for the comment. That seems to be the consensus at Civil War Talk as well. I will edit the information here but I think I might need more information to get it changed at Library of Congress' site.
